Bringing Adam home

Martin brought Carey and Adam home on Saturday25th October 2008 and it was lovely to hear Adam cry via long distance telephone. We do so look forward to meeting him and giving him lots of cuddles in person.

ADAM FREDERICK HOUGH - SOME THOUGHTS BY HIS NANA

Adam was born on 20th October 2008 in Springfield, Massachusetts to my son Martin and his lovely wife Carey. I was thrilled to become a grandmother and can’t wait to cuddle him when his granddad and I visit on 10th November 2008. He weighed in at 10lbs 9.1.oz and we received the first photos within a few hours of his birth thanks to the Internet. This was wonderful and I still look at the photos in awe four days later. I have a huge copy of him exercising his lungs on the piano and a photo album which starts with his first scan photos which we were amazed to receive while on the Oriana World Cruise in February.

He looks gorgeous and not at all like a new born baby. Auntie Kathryn and I now have a new hobby - baby shopping! I received two grandparent cards which I will add to Adam’s Folder.
